Who Are We?

Fired Up Jellies and Jams was born in Carbondale, Illinois—sparked by two food lovers who knew that the right flavor can bring people together and turn a good meal into a lasting memory.

Smitty (from Springfield, IL) and Krista (from St. Louis, MO) met at Southern Illinois University—Go Dawgs!—and bonded over a shared love of cooking, hosting, and experimenting in the kitchen. They quickly realized that one bold, flavorful condiment could take a dish from ordinary to unforgettable.

So they got to work—tinkering with combinations of fruit, spice, and heat until they nailed it. In 2018, after dozens of recipes and even more taste tests, Fired Up Jellies and Jams was officially on the map.

But this wasn’t just about heat. Fired Up meant excitement. Creativity. Character. The kind of flavor that grabs your attention, sparks conversation, and makes you want another bite.

Smitty and Krista teamed up with designers to craft labels that stood out—bold, curious, and just as flavorful as what’s inside. Then they took it further, developing recipes, mascots, and content that turned their jars into a storytelling experience.

Today, Fired Up Jellies and Jams is found in homes across the country—at breakfast tables, backyard BBQs, and cozy kitchen counters.
